The Berwyn Heights Historical Committee (BHHC) was established in March 2003 by a resolution of the Town Council with the mission to preserve and make known the history of the Town of Berwyn Heights.
The Committee has 5 voting members appointed by the Town Council. Every year the members elect from their midst a chair, vice chair and secretary. The current officers are:

Some of the ongoing activities of the BHHC include the production of historic markers, an oral history project, organizing of community events with a history theme, and liaising with other historic and cultural organizations in Prince George’s County and Maryland. Currently, the BHHC is a member of the Berwyn Heights Recreation Council, the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area (ATHA) and the Prince George’s County Historical Society (PGCPS)
